Maryland attorneys are required to report pro bono activity per Md. Rule 16-903.   Rule 6.1 (b) of the The Maryland Lawyers’ Rules of Professional Conduct provides that "A lawyer in the full-time practice of law should aspire to render at least 50 hours per year of pro bono publico legal service..."  Maryland Rule 16-811 e. 2. states the requirements for a lawyer on inactive/retired status to engage in the pro bono practice of law without payment to the CSTFund.
