Maryland residents may file Unemployment Insurance Claims via telephone, by contacting the Unemployment Insurance Claim Center located nearest their home; they also have the option to file a claim online. Individuals who reside in a state other than Maryland and do not normally commute to Maryland to work, must file an Unemployment Insurance claim in the office that is located in their state of residence. They should check their local state of residence telephone book for information.

All Maryland Claim Centers take claims by telephone only, every Monday through Friday, excluding State holidays. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday 7:30AM ET to 4:00PM ET. If someone is seeking general information about unemployment insurance, they should be directed to the Unemployment Insurance home page.

If an individual is seeking information on an existing claim or wants to file their biweekly continued claim (request for payment) over the telephone, they must call one of the numbers listed under Claimant Information Service at the bottom of this message.

If an individual wants to track their account balance and transactions, they may do this by logging on to: Citi Prepaid Services (www.mduibenefits.com), or by calling Citi Prepaid Services at 1-800-582-4910 to speak with a customer service representative.
