Attending: Lisa Sarro, Bill Davis, Joan Bellistri, Chris Poulsen, Kim Doan and Nancy Faulkner.
Minutes 10-23-2013 were approved and Minutes 01-29-2014 were approved with corrections.
Video "Be the Change" ABA President's Legal Access Job Corp was viewed without benefit of sound.
I. Local Pro Bono Committee
A. Plan Review - MRP 16-902
The entire plan was reviewed. Changes will be added on a wiki page for full Committee discussion. A updated membership list will be sent to Administrative Judge Hackner and AABA President, Greg Jimeno.
B. Wiki review and demonstration of Local Pro Bono Committee page
Members were made aware of the information available on the wiki: membership roster, meeting agendas and minutes, the text of MRP 16-902, links to Standing Committee manuals, and pro bono statistics.
C. Partners for Justice and Joint Statewide Pro Bono Meeting - May 15, 2014
The Committee is encouraged to attend.
II. Programs and Projects
A. Homeless Resource Day (March 29, 8:30 am - 4:00 pm) and expungement training
Volunteers will be recruited soon.
B. Education and Outreach
1. Pro bono opportunity information to the bar -

a. review Judge North's letter to local firms
The Committee reviewed and made some suggestions for revision. Joanie will edit and forward to Judge North. Nancy Faulkner mentioned that Judge Kiessling will be sending a letter to attorneys in order to recruit facilitators.
3. MVLS and PBRC programs - local coordination and PBRC E-Bulletin - no discussion
4. Local referral service - collaboration with the bar - warm referrals - triage / centralization - no discussion
III. New Business:
A. Chris Poulsen brought the following legislation affecting the Homeless to the attention of the Committee:
HB794/SB794 creates a demonstration project to count unaccompanied homeless youth in several diverse Maryland jurisdictions. Both the House and Senate bills have hearings on 3/4/14, in the House Appropriations Committee and Senate Education, Health, and Environmental Affairs Committee, respectively.
HB 813/SB 795, creates a new Joint Committee on Ending Homelessness in the Maryland General Assembly, which would include five members of the Senate and five members of the House of Delegates. This bill has a hearing in the House Health and Government Operations Committee on 3/3/14and in the Senate Finance Committee on 3/13/14.
